Coya Jewelry is inspired by rowdy rivers, starry night skies, the soul-soothing sun, the power of the oceans, and the glow of the moon. I do my very best to embed these visions into handcrafted jewelry for you.  

My lover Francois and I mine and rockhound all over Oregon to gather many of our own gemstones! After we cut and polish the stones, I create each piece with reclaimed silver and gold with hope that they will be cherished for years to come. Each and every piece is designed and handcrafted with focused intentions of love.

I grew up in the heart of Detroit—I like to refer to it as Motown—submerged in a dynamic culture of music and arts. When I wasn’t playing in the vivaciously cold waters of the Great Lakes, hiking, or going to see live music, I spent most of my time playing in the family gem & mineral store. From that early age, I was chasing the flickers of life I saw in each precious stone. Eventually, I found myself on the agate-covered beaches of Lake Superior where I earned my BFA in Metalsmithing at Northern Michigan University.  As a graduate, I hit the ground running, chasing my dreams of the Pacific Northwest.

I landed in a little mountain town called Bend and set up shop.  After years of designing for a local jeweler, I rediscovered unadulterated creativity by working for myself and manifested Coya Jewelry. The word Coya stems from the Incan word for QUEEN, a representation of the powerful women I know we all are when we awaken to our potential.  My pieces embody the inherent connection I see and feel between our souls and the precious bounty of the natural world.  Each adornment is forged specifically for all the Queens of this world.
